Jimmy McDonnell, Grange Road, Allardstow­n, Knockbridg­e, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, on 30 September. Jimmy will be sadly missed by his loving wife May and his loving children Bríd, Lizzy, Jim, Mary, Jody, Anne, Ollie (and predecease­d by his daughter Thérèse); his loving grand-children Rachel, James, Niamh, Fionn, Aodhán, Mark, Michelle, Matthew, Sadhbh, Ferdia, Ruairí, Caoilte, Méabh, Cillian, Rian, Anna and Tara, his sons-in-law Paddy, Michael and Ruairí, his daughters-in-law, Ann-Marie, Sinéad and Mairéad, his brothers Paddy and Frank, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Jimmy will repose in his residence on Saturday evening from 7:30pm to 10pm and on Sunday from 10:30am. House private on Monday morning. Removal on Monday morning to St. Michael’s Church, Darver, arriving for funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Darver Cemetery.

Freddie Norman, Oaklawns, Dundalk, whose death occurred on Saturday 30 September, 2017, peacefully, surrounded by his family in the loving care of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Predecease­d by his parents Freddie and Iris (née McKenna). Freddie, beloved husband of Majella (née Flood) and devoted father of Sharon, David, Derek and Aidan. Very deeply regretted by his wife, daughter, sons, brothers Ray and Noel, sisters Joyce and Barbara, son in-law, daughters-inlaw, eight grandchild­ren, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, wonderful friends and neighbours. Reposing at his residence Oaklawns from Saturday evening at 7pm. Removal on Monday morning at 10.30am proceeding on foot to Saint Joseph’s Redemptori­st Church, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery Dundalk.

Peter Kelly, Skerries, Dublin, and late of Cluan Enda, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully at Beaumont hospital on 27 September, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Peter, sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend Carmel, children Jean, David, Colm, Brian and Úna, brothers Sean, Thomas and Christophe­r, sisters Mary, Catherine, Susan and Bernadette, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and a large circle of friends. Reposing at home Monday from 5pm to 9pm. Removal Tuesday to St. Patrick’s Church, Skerries arriving 9.50 for 10am Funeral Mass, burial afterwards in Ardla Cemetery, Skerries.

Peter McCourt, Park Villas, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 28 September, 2017, peacefully in Louth County Hospital. Peter beloved husband of Frances (née Kerley) and dear father of Catherine, Joan, Brendan, James, Jill, Pamela, and Caroline. Deeply regretted by his wife, sons, daughters, grandchild­ren, brother Patrick, sisters Eileen and Kathleen, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Mary Murphy (née Gleeson), ‘Cloonmore’, Sandymount, Blackrock, Co. Louth, and formerly of Melvilles, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 29 September, 2017, peacefully, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital after being lovingly cared for by the staff of Dealgan Nursing Home. Mary, beloved wife of the late Paddy and dear sister of the late Noreen Walsh, Jack, Pat and Michael. Deeply regretted by her loving nephews, nieces, grandnephe­ws, grandniece­s, relatives and many friends. Reposing at Dealgan Nursing home from 12 noon until 4pm on Saturday. Reposing at her home in Sandymount from 2pm until 8pm on Sunday. Removal on Monday afternoon at 1.40pm to St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Blackrock, arriving for Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in St. Fursey’s Cemetery, Haggardsto­wn.

Agnes Riordan (née Carroll), Little Mills, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully in Louth County Hospital, 29 September, 2017. Agnes beloved mother of Caroline Moran, Finbarr and Dermot and loving grandmothe­r of Orla, Kyle, Lisa, Claire, Shane, Mark, Laura, Rachel, Ciaran, Adam, and Sarah and great grandmothe­r of Kaylon, Shay, Lauren, Shaun, Jake and Lucas. Deeply regretted by her sons, daughter, grandchild­ren, great grandchild­ren, son-in-law Leo, daughter-in-law Carol, sister-in-law May Carroll, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Nancy Creaton (née Sargent), late of 31 Barrack Street, Dundalk, and 16 Pitleasow Close, Stirchley, Birmingham, whose death occurred peacefully in her 85th year on 2 September, 2017, at Cohen House, Stirchley. Born to Jack and Anne Sargent, Nancy was predecease­d by her husband Martin, sisters Ellen McDonald (Nellie – Queanbeyan, NSW, Australia) and Theresa Gavin ( Tessie – Walkinstow­n, Dublin) and brother Christophe­r (Christy - Yallingup, W. Australia). She is survived by her sons Gerard (Austin, Texas) and Noel (England), her grandchild­ren Matthew and Clarissa ( Texas) as well as her Sargent, McDonald, Doran, Gavin and O’Callaghan nephews and nieces and her grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed by relatives and friends in Dundalk, Birmingham, Kildare, Dublin, USA, Australia and Canada. Sing a song of freedom for Nancy. Patrick (Ricky) Duffy, Aisling Park, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully on 26 September, 2017, in the tender and dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his family. Beloved son of Martin and Frances, brother of James, Geraldine, Emmanuel, Marty and Martin and father of Shauna and the late Patrick Jason. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing parents, brothers, sister, daughter, sister-in-law, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predecease­d by his brother-in-law Alan. James (Jimmy) Quinn, College Heights, Hoey’s Lane, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully on 26 September, 2017, in the tender and dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Theresa and dear father of Paddy, Bridgie, James, Maggie, Mary, Dave and Michael. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughters, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, brothers Thomas, Paddy and Johnny Boy, sisters Nabby, Kathleen and Julia, his nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Bridget Kieran (née McKenna), Duffy’s Cross, Readypenny, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully, on 27 September, 2017, in the tender loving care of the staff of Setanta House, Moorehall Lodge, Ardee, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Jim and dear mother of Elizabeth (O’Donoghue). She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing daughter, sister Marie (McKenna), son-in-law Pat, grandsons and their partners David and Aileen, Kieran and Kate and Brendan and Judith, great-grandchild­ren, sisters-in-law Annie (Bishop) and Bess (Kieran), nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Noel Crossley, Montpelier Hill, Parkgate Street Dublin, and formerly of Dundalk, Co. Louth, whose death occurred on 23 September, 2017. Sadly missed by his family and friends. Removal on Thursday morning to St. Patrick’s Church, Celbridge arriving for 11am Mass. Funeral afterwards to Donaghcomp­er Cemetery, Celbridge.

Very Rev. William Murtagh PE, former Parish Priest of Clogherhea­d, and formerly of Francis Street, Dundalk, whose death occurred, in his 99th year, peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, on 26 September, 2017, after being wonderfull­y care for by Moorhall Lodge Ardee. Fr Willie, beloved brother of the late Fr Mick Murtagh PP, May Murphy (Blackrock), and Kitty Murtagh (Blackrock). Deeply regretted by his fellow members of the clergy, his dedicated housekeepe­r Jane Marry, many friends and parishione­rs.
