A fantastic display of quality football saw the girls U14 team clinch a final spot in the A Championsh­ip when they overcame Cooley by a single point in a was a very sporting game played in great spirit. The village of Dromiskin is certainly living up to its motto of embracing ecology and buzzing with biodiversi­ty with the installati­on of a fourth statement sign to complete the Ecology Trail in the village.

Designed by Vision Design, and with financial assistance from Applegreen, the attractive and informativ­e double sided panel highlights the ecological value of the Red Bog, identified as an important wetland in the community, which is now contained within the Applegreen complex.

Peter McKeown from Applegreen was on hand to see the sign unveiled recently on a public green space close to the Applegreen facility. The site is located along a very popular walking route which is an ideal location for catching attention thereby increasing the potential to create awareness.

The reverse side of the panel is dedicated to providing advice and tips on pollinator friendly gardening practices so that all residents in the community

yards.ie. A new up to date sign will be erected in the summer of 2020.

PARISH NEWS
