DEMESNE WORK

After reading in the Infrastructure Report that the redevelopment of The Demesne in the town centre was completed on 1 August last, Cllr. Anne Campbell asked what was the nature of the work carried out, and was there corporate involvement in paying for it.

Senior engineer, Pat Finn, said improvements were made to seats, pavements and public lighting, while a survey and work was done on the trees.

He added some private money was involved.
