GRAYS LANE

The council has undertaken to address the issue where traffic is emerging from Gray’s Lane at Toolfix.

Cllrs. Maria Doyle and Emma Coffey expressed concern at the situation.

In addition to turning left onto Dublin Street, vehicles are also going straight across the road, in order to access Anne Street.

Among the suggestions, is filling in the traffic island to block crossing onto Anne Street.

Senior engineer, Pat Finn, pointed out it is a private lane.

The council will look at blocking it off, and carry out more studies, to try to address the issue.
