Assaulted Customs officer

A charge of assaulting a customs officer against Barry Murphy (40), 31 Cloonevan, Haggardstown, has been struck out after he paid €500 to The Samaritans, a charity nominated by the victim.

Evidence was given of an altercation which took place in the driveway of a house at Bog Road, Mullaharlin, on 22 July, 2016.

The customs officer received injuries.
