Agitated cyclist

A €300 fine has been imposed on Darren Brady (30), 142 Cedarwood Park, Cox’s Demesne, on a charge of obstruction.

The court heard that at 4.10pm on 17 January, 2017, a garda saw the accused riding his bicycle in Oakland Park.

When he drove alongside to speak to him, Brady, who appeared agitated, kept cycling, and increased his speed.

At one point, he crossed the road, narrowly missing the patrol car.
