TohelpMexican school

-

Ryan McCutcheon, a fifth class pupil in Saint Francis’s School is heading to Guatemala with his mum to volunteer in a school next month.

Ryan was born in Mexico and his parents, Debbie and Kevin adopted him as an infant. His life would probably have evolved in very much the same way as the children in the school where he and his mum will be volunteering next month.

Ryan’s father sadly passed away two years ago and mother Debbie has fully financed the trip for the two of them.

They will spend two weeks volunteering in the school.

She has set up a GoFundMe fund to buy basic resources (pencils, books, etc) for the school. The children there have no shoes to wear for school.

Saint Francis’s are organising a collection for children’s footwear. Parents and pupils have been really supportive.

Those with outgrown children’s (any size) shoes are asked to please donate them. They can leave them in the local school. There is a donation box provided.

Ryan and Debbie will take all the donated shoes over to the school in Guatemala as a gift from the children of Saint Francis’.

Or you might wish to offer support by making a financial donation, no matter how small, via Ryan’s GoFundMe page.
