REWARD OFFER FOR PUPS RETURN

October 2007

-

THE distraught owner of a complete litter of three-week-old German Shepherd pups, stolen from a house in Faughart, offers a reward for their safe return.

The puppies, four bitches and three dogs, are taken from a boiler house some time between 3.15pm and 4.20pm.

The owner says his two children are very upset since the disappearance of the animals, and have spent time searching hedgerows and fields in the hope of finding them.

What’s more, the pups haven’t been weaned, and are totally dependent on their mother.

Gardaí are investigating, while LSPCA officer Fiona Squibb condemns the theft, and expresses concern for the dogs’ survival.

‘ They are just three-weeks-old, and need to be with their mother,’ she says.

‘Unless whoever took them is prepared to hand rear them, there is not a lot of hope.’

Ms. Squibb reveals there are numerous incidents where pups and dogs have been stolen form their owners’ gardens.
