Dromin cycle raises €11,000 for the hospice
THE incredible work of those behind the annual Dromin cycle for the Ardee Hospice Homecare group has to be applauded.
Each summer they depart from the Village Saloon in Dromin and take to the highways and byways of the region.
Dozens and dozens of riders take part - thankfully Benny Grogan doesn’t have far to travel for this one! - and all in aid of a great cause.
It’s been on the road for nine years now and about €111,000 has been raised in that time.
Tess Connolly is a stalwart of the event and a great collector.
No doubt there’s a big bar-b-que being planned in the Saloon for next year when it marks 10 years.
