Stabannon Tidy Towns

STABANNON Tidy Towns won the Gum Litter Taskforce (GLT) Village and Small Town Award at the National TidyTowns Competitio­n 2017.

The GLT provides annually a total of €5,000 in prize money which is distribute­d amongst the winners of the Village and Small Town and Large Town and Urban Centre subcategor­ies, with a €1,000 bonus going to the overall winner.

Establishe­d in 1998, Stabannon Tidytowns works in the townlands of Stabannon, Drumcashel, Roodstown, Drumgooles­town, Charlevill­e, Braganstow­n and Poolbrock to reduce the level of incorrectl­y disposed litter and improve the environmen­t of the communitie­s in which they live.
