Digiweb enjoy their 21st anniversary

-

AFTER spending 21 years in business, local firm Digiweb decided it was time for a night of celebration and they, along with sister company Viatel, gathered in the Crowne Plaza on Saturday night for what promised to be an excellent evening.

The company with CEO Colm Piercy originally from Waterford and MD Declan Campbell from Newry were surrounded by an appreciative workforce, all ready to make it a most memorable night.

I wasn’t too long in the door when I met up with Olivia Purton from Blackrock who works in Customer Care who told me they are an excellent company to work for and everyone really gets on well together.

After this I got a word with Damien McCann from Louth Village who told me they were all gonna have a ball.

Heading for one of the tables I then got talking to Mark Dowdall from Millgrange who was sitting having a time of it with Ronan Shevlin from Ardee, Michael McGahon from Killeavy and Brendan McGahon from The Loakers who all agreed it’s a top-notch company to work for, their job satisfaction was ‘going through the roof ’ and assured me the night of celebrations wouldn’t be half bad either.

Making my way over to another table I then got a word with Sinead Murphy from Dromiskin, Amanda Johnston from Carrickmacross, John Byrne from Langfield and birthday girl Natasha Cotter from Dromiskin who was on for a double celebration with all her workmates.

Also in their company was Alishea Sammon from Newry who told me all her workmates are dead friendly and there really is a great atmosphere to work in. These sentiments were mimicked by Niall Dowdall from Dublin Road who was just after arriving over to the table.

Not too long later I then had the pleasure of talking to Melissa Carolan originally from Montreal but now hanging her hat in Bay Estate who told me she absolutely loves working for Digiweb and was going to make sure the 21st celebrations were epic.

Also at the same table I then got a word with Amy Woods from Ath Lethan Ciaran Belton from Saltown and Michelle White from Jonesboro who told me they were just ‘ loving it’.

They were also enjoying the company of Kirsty Burns from Bessbrook and Laura West from Medebawn who said they really are a fantastic company to work for and the night was going to be anything but a quiet affair.

Also at the same table were Diana Vasilfeva from Mary Street North and Christine Mulrooney from Kilcurry who have been with the company for 3 and 11 years respectively and just love it there. They were on for a major night of fun with Gillian Reel from Cullyhanna, Moe Kerley from Oliver Plunkett Park and Regina Fergus from Riverside Drive who said they are working with a bunch of awesome people and are so well looked after, it’s unbe- lievable.

Heading for anther table I then got talking to Artur Klimkowski from Blackrock, Damian Smith from Drogheda, Niall Dowdall from Hackballscross and Cillian Dullaghan from Dublin Street who said the company are the best ever to work for, there’s a great atmosphere there and they were definitely going to make the best of their 21st year celebrations.

Finally, before I departed I met up with Ronan Shevlin from Ardee and Anwesh Adhikari from Dublin who were have a combined 19 years ser- vice with the company and were all praise for it life everyone I met on the night. Whatever Digiweb are doing, it certainly is the positive path where their staff are concerned.
