IT’S MARKET TIME!

DUNDALK’S Christmas Market returns to Frostival this weekend, when thirty of the finest local craft and food producers are set to take over the Courthouse Square this weekend.

A wide selection of delicious food, bespoke crafts and beautiful decoration­s for your home will be on offer in the comforts of a marquee at this new location, so you can carry on shopping no matter what the weather is like.

The market should prove the ideal opportunit­y to do some Christmas shopping with crafts, knitwear, leather goods, paintings, festive carved candles, beauty products, cards, locally produced food and much much more,

Exhibitors include Art by Patricia O’Kane, Designs by Susan, Jilly’s Jewels Urban Pixie Creations, Moo Moo Knits & Crafts, The Great Northern Larder and much much more!

For the younger folk, Santa’s Grotto will be located on Market Square, children can visit him free of charge, where they will also receive a free goodie bag and deliver their letters to him in person.

Martin McElligott of Dundalk BIDS said ‘ This is the first Christmas Market of its size in Dundalk Town Centre and we and we hope that Dundalk turns out in support. There have been many calls from the public for a Christmas Market and I am happy to say that we have been working hard to try and fulfill the public’s desire’

The two day Christmas Market will take place from 11am - 6pm on Friday 24th and from 11am - 5pm on Saturday 25th November.

And shoppers are also encouraged to make their way to An Táin Arts Centre, where the Great Dundalk Bake Off in aid of Dundalk Simon Community and St Patrick’s Soup Kitchen is taking place on Friday.

They can vote for their favourite culinary creation from a number of well known Dundalk personalit­ies who have teamed up with local bakeries and cafes, and there will also be a cake sale.
