It will be officiated by the Cathaoirleach assisted by Kyle Norton and his Special Olympics teammates who will turn on the Christmas lights and officially open Dundalk on Ice.

Martin McElligott of the Dundalk BIDS said ‘This year’s event is made possible through the very kind and supportive sponsorship from Louth County Council, ourselves here in the BIDS office and our commercial sponsor Recruitment Plus that are 100% local and have been providing 17 years of recruitment solutions for employers county wide. We would also like to acknowledge The Crafty Rock, Value Centre & Haribo and off course the media partnerships that help move things along the way they do’.

‘As I have said previously we tailor make all our events around family entertainment and what’s even more important is that we are able to deliver a free event for the children. We invite you all to come out and support all we have to offer in the Town Centre this coming weekend, there really is something for everyone. So on behalf of all our sponsors and the retail business across the Town we would like to wish the people of Dundalk a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year’.
