FERGUSON’S BAR has gained a reputation as one of the leading live music venues as well as being a popular haunt to drink and socialise, and to enjoy special occasions such as parties, with management providing the function room free of charge to groups for events such as christenin­gs, birthday and engagement parties and to celebrate other family events.

Ferguson’s Bar go to great lengths to meet the needs of customers, and ensure that not only do they enjoy hospitalit­y and entertainm­ent but ensure they get home safe and sound.

Ferguson’s Bar operate their own courtesy bus that provides a night time shuttle service to take groups of customers home as it comes to the end of the night. The bus is to facilitate those who live within the immediate catchment area in the Cooley Peninsula, and is a prime example of how Ferguson’s value their customers.

Situated in the popular Gyles Quay Caravan Park, the bar at the Gyles Quay seaside resort is in the middle of the scenic Cooley Peninsula and draws top names in the music industry in the country, and attracts packed out audiences from a wide catchment area.

Top bands and solo artistes all perform at the venue, with national household names such as Christy Dignam, Sharon Shannon, Davey Arthur, The Fureys, The 4 of Us, Dublin City Ramblers, Damien Dempsey and Mundy all gracing the bar with their music and special talents.

Equally talented and much in demand, local entertaine­rs also draw the crowds to the venue, and with Christmas approachin­g a fine line-up has been arranged to make the season as merry and cheerful as possible for customers, regulars as well as followers of the different acts. A prime example of the calibre of performers appearing at the venue is the Hot House Flowers, who performed last Saturday, with the concert sold out well in advance.

Ferguson’s Bar also boasts excellent facilities for all sporting events throughout the year with multiple screens, it’s the perfect venue to take in the GAA, soccer, rugby and sporting events alike.

Customers can also enjoy the bar’s pool table and dart boards for friendly matches whilst enjoying a night out at the venue.

The bar opens daily, Monday to Friday from 5pm to closing time, and Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to closing time.

For the best entertainm­ent, party occasions and important social outings they don’t come any better than Ferguson’s. Management’s single aim is to please their customers and make whatever occasion, special or otherwise really enjoyable and accommodat­e them in whatever way they can, including making their way home safely.
