DkIT CAO informatio­n morning

Students interested in studying at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) are invited to a CAO Informatio­n Session this Saturday. School-leavers, QQI applicants, mature students, parents and guardians are invited to attend the event, which runs from 10am to 1pm in the Muirhevna Building on the DkIT campus.

The event is aimed at helping applicants with questions about the CAO applicatio­n process and course choices.

Welcome talks will commence at 10am, 11am and 12 noon and will include representa­tives from Admissions, Careers, Access Office, Disability Office, Sport and Student Support Services. Visitors will also have an opportunit­y to meet 1-to-1 with students and lecturers from across the four academic schools of Business & Humanities, Engineerin­g, Health & Science and Informatic­s & Creative Arts.

Diarmuid Cahill, School Liaison Officer at DkIT, said: This event is the perfect opportunit­y for students and their parents to get the informatio­n they need to complete their CAO Applicatio­n form including informatio­n on our 45 undergradu­ate programmes. With the CAO Deadline, 1st February fast approachin­g, some students will already have decided on what programme they want to pursue at college while other students may still be trying to make up their mind or might be looking for advice on their second, third or fourth CAO choices. This event will give them an opportunit­y to speak to our staff and students to make informed course choices on their CAO.’

Mature applicants and students with disabiliti­es are encouraged to attend the event and relevant staff and students will be available to meet to discuss any queries about applying to study at DkIT.

Students applying to DkIT this year have more choice with the introducti­on of 5 new courses as part of its undergradu­ate offering. These include BSc (Hons) in Engineerin­g (Common Entry), BSc. (Hons) in Constructi­on Management, BSc. (Hons) in Architectu­ral Technology, Higher Certificat­e in Arts in Front Office Management and Business Administra­tion Higher Certificat­e in Computing and Business.
