Betty Bailey (née Mac Namee), Chapel Street and formerly of Knockbridg­e, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 14 January, 2018, in her 98th year, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the love and tender care of Saint Francis Nursing Home, Mount Oliver. Predecease­d by her husband Cathal. Very deeply regretted by her sons Eoghan, Pat, Joe and Clem, daughters Frances McKenna, Breda McCourt, Catherine Gray and Helen Lane, sons and daughters in law, 25 grandchild­ren, 31 great-grandchild­ren, sister in-law Mary Mac Namee, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family relatives, wonderful neighbours and friends. Reposing at her residence Chapel Street from Sunday evening 6pm to 9pm and Monday 12 noon to 9pm. Removal on Tuesday afternoon at 12.45pm, proceeding on foot to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1pm, followed by burial in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Dundalk.

Ned Stokes, O’Hanlon Park, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 13 January, 2018, peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Ned, beloved husband of Margaret and loving father of Eddie, Paddy, John, Mary, Julia and Valerie. Predecease­d by his sons Michael, Kieran and Andrew, parents Michael and Nanny, grand-daughters Susan and Kenzie, brother Michael, sister Julia. He will be very sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, sons and daughters in-law, brothers and sisters in-law, grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family circle, wonderful friends and neighbours. Oliver Murphy, Mullaharli­n Park, Dublin Road, Dundalk, whose death occurred, peacedully, on 12 January, 2018, in the tender and dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Beloved father of Kevin, Anthony, Emma, Daniel and Kate. He will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, daughters-in-law Angela and Sarah, Emma’s partner Ricky, grandchild­ren Charley, Oliver, Ruby, Hermione, Shannon, Evie, Paul, Katelyn, Jack and Sarah, brother John, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predecease­d by his parents Bernard and Brigid and brother Bernard. Paddy will be very sadly missed by his nephews and nieces, cousins, extended family relatives, wonderful neighbours and friends. Josephine Dowling (née Carville), late of Dublin, formerly of Dundalk and Castleblay­ney, whose death occurred peacefully, on 11 January, 2018, in the care of the staff in Beneavin House. Predecease­d by her loving husband Paddy and son Gerry. Deeply regretted by her daughters Maura (Melia), Carmel (Moran), Peggy (Meany), Patricia (O’Brien) and son Nicholas, daughtersi­n-law, sons-in-law, grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, sister-in-law Sr. Josephine Dowling, brothers-in-law Alf Booth and Dennis White, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Jean Lennon (née Carolan), Mary Street South, Dundalk, whose death occurred, peacefully,on 12 January, 2018, in the kind and gentle care of the staff at The Glencarron Nursing Home, Crossmagle­n. Beloved wife of the late Gerry and predecease­d by her parents, brother and sisters. Jean will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends and by all who knew and loved her. Rosaleen Sands (née Kelly), 45A Beech Park, Blackrock, whose death occurred peacefully on 12th January, 2018 aged 95 years. Beloved wife of the late John and dearly loved mother of Marcella, Bernadette, John and the late Bobby. Reposing at her daughter Bernadette’s home, 45A Beech Park, Blackrock, Co. Louth.
