FOOTBALLER CIARAN CELEBRATES HIS 21ST
Peter, Ciaran and Paula McKeown, Blackrock Road at Ciaran’s 21st birthday party in Dowdallshill GFC Community Centre. THERE really was only one place to be on Saturday night and that was the Dowdallshill Clubrooms where Ciaran McKeown from Bothar Na Feirme was holding his 21st birthday party and there to make sure he had an excellent night were his parents Peter and Paula, brothers Craig and Nathan, sisters Kayleigh, Danielle and Chandelle, grandparents Geraldine Murphy from Ashling Park, Owenie and Joan McKeown from Beechmount Drive and girlfriend Hayley Martin from Bay Estate and a huge collection of family and friends.
I was only in the door when I met up with Ciaran who works in Dunnes Stores in Coxes Demesne, plays football with the Glenmuir and the Gaels who wanted to make sure that everyone had a mad night and to thank them all for making it to his birthday bash.
I then headed over for a quick word with Paul Watters from Ashling Park who was delighted to see me, well, kinda, sorta. He was with his partners Mags Grimes from Doolargy Avenue who is Ciaran’s aunty and their daughter Kylie and wanted to wish Ciaran all the best on his big night.
Beside them I got a word with granny Geraldine Murphy who was enjoying the evening with Gerry Grimes from Beechmount Drive and Dearbhle Murphy both from Ashling Park and Dearbhle’s daughter Sarah Davidson who told me it was going to be a major night of fun.
Also in their company were Ciaran’s cousin Seamus Loughran and Kerry O’Hanlon both from Carrick Road who told me they were on their way to get a photo taken, but after that, the night would certainly kick off.
Not too long later I caught up with cousin Amy Murphy from Ashling Park who was with her main squeeze Ryan McEvoy from Bay Estate who wanted to wish Ciaran all the best and tried to tell me it was going to be a quiet celebration, eh not from where I was standing!
Making my way through the crowds I met up with Ciaran’s godmother and aunty Edel McKeown who was with husband Joe and kids Doreen and Ryan who were all up from Kildare specially for the party and were having a ball.
After this I headed over for a word with uncle Damien and Charlene McKeown from Clontigora Court who told me they were there on the night with Shannon and Aaron McKeown all from Garrybawn who were on for a mad one and no mistake.
Making my way over to another couple I got a word with Cecilia Cunningham from Ashbrook and great uncle Francis Shevlin from Beechmount drive who wanted to wish the birthday boy all the best on his big night.
Not too long later I met up with aunty Dolores Kearns from Garrybawn with her kids Aaron and Shannon whom I’d met earlier and they were having a night of it with Orla Carr from Bay Estate who was with Padraig Bell from Castlebellingham and wanted to wish Ciaran all the best.
After this I had the pleasure of meeting up with Ciaran’s girlfriend’s sister Niamh Martin from Bay Estate who was sitting having a laugh with Peter Farrell from Ashbrook and were up from making the best of the party.
Beside them were Aaron Taaffe from Fatima and Keith Morris with at least 10 different addresses but he hails from Dublin but now hangs his hat in Beechmount Drive and was there with Ciaran’s sister Danielle McKeown from Beechmount Drive and her friend (she’s really part of the family) Sophia Cumiskey from Lisdoo Road who all wanted to wish Ciaran all the best on his 21st.
Not too far away I got talking to Bernadette McEvoy from Market Street with Damien McKeown and kids Josh and Shane who were up for making the best of the party.
I then met up with Kate O’Hanrahan from Barrack Street and Conor Byrne from Beechmount Drive and Kate told me they were really gatecrashers and were only there for the chicken curry!
Beside them were Alan Minto from Muirhevnamor who was with Hanna Gorham from Hawthorn Crescent who told me they are friends, but Alan admitted that he is Ciaran’s brother from another mother.
Seated close by was Ciaran’s delightful girlfriend Hayley Martin from Bay Estate whom I didn’t recognise, sorry Hayley but she did tell me it was going to be a good night for certain.
Beside her I got talking to Kayla Smyth from Beechmount Drive who was with Ciaran’s brother Craig and they assured me it was going to be a massive night.
