THE spring/summer 2018 issue of Reading Ireland, the eJournal edited by Dundalk native Adrienne Leavy, to be published in late April, will focus on Irish folklore and includes contributions from Dundalk native, Paul Gosling, who recalls the 1911 Pageant, The Return of Cúchulainn and Emer, which took place just outside of Dundalk to mark the opening of the Dún Dealgan Muse- um of the County Louth Archaeological Society (Cúchulainn’s Castle) on August 15th, 1911. Several rare postcards depicting scenes from the pageant, which were prepared by Dundalk printers William Tempest, accompany the essay.
