Great night’s craic at Celine’s 21st

-

OUR last port of call on Saturday night was to Soraghan’s Bar on Ardee Road where a special 21st birthday party was being held for Celine Byrne-McGahon from Dunmahon and there to make sure she had a fantastic night were her parents Brenda and Peter, sister Laura, brother Mark, grandparents Mary and Brendan Byrne from Clooneevan aunts Mary Fitzpatrick and Ann McGahon and a huge collection of family and friends.

I then decided to have a look to see who was there and met up with Cathy, Wayne, Kate and Rachael Keenan from Knockbridge who wanted to wish Celine all the best but couldn’t stay because of work in the morning.

They were having a chat with Brian McGuigan from Omeath who was having a time of it with cousins Michaela Byrne from Glenwood and Dean McAlester also from Glenwood who told me that Celine’s party was brilliant and they were having a fantastic night.

Not too far away I then got talking to Siobhan Cooney from Blackrock, Lorna McAlester from Glenwood and Crystal McAlester from Blackrock who were all looking extremely well and wanted to wish Celine all the best on her big night.

After this I caught up with Rachel Gover from Nicholas Court and Robert Bell Aghameen Park who was with his mum Lisa Bell and her daughter Donna Byrne from Greenacres who told me this was an excellent party to thank Celine for such a great night.

Donna was having a night of it with Marina Flynn from Hyde Park who was only just getting into the swing of things when I got talking to her.

Meanwhile over at another table I met Celine’s sister Laura McGahon from Dunmahon who was with Molly McShane from Coes Road, brother Mark McGa- hon, Rebecca and Peter Lambe-Fagan from Mountpleasant and Chris Donagh from Market Hill who was with Laura and up for making the best of the celebrations.

Making my way through the crowds I then got talking to Taz Farrell from Tallanstown who told me he was with Michaela Byrne whom I’d met earlier and went on to complement Soraghan’s on their pints saying ‘I decided to try a pint of Bud and they’re just lovely’ so that was him set for the night.

Not too long later I got taking to brother and sister Emma Woods from Haggardstown and Conor Dollard from Grange Drive and Emma told me she wanted to wish her neighbour a very happy 21st.

After this I caught up with Celine’s dad Peter who was chatting to her aunt Aedamar McGahon and cousin Dearbhla who were certainly on for making the best of her big bash.

Finally, before I departed I met up with Patrick and Mary Savage from Dunleer who were enjoying the company of David and Edel Callan from Ross- makea who wanted to wish their neighbour a very happy birthday and to say they were definitely enjoying the party.
