Naps finish with flourish
A STRONG final quarter showing from Na Piarsaigh saw them edge out Lannleire at Darver on Saturday night.
Only one point separated the sides after an entertaining first half, with Eamonn McAuley’s goal ten minutes into the game helping Na Piarsaigh to lead 1-6 to 0-8 at the break.
The opening quarter of the second half was evenly contested with a Briain McGuinness point for Lannleire on 43 minutes leaving the scores level at 0-11 to 1-8 to make it two wins from two for the Rock Road men.
However, Na Piarsaigh kicked the last five scores of the game to win 1-13 to 0-11.
