A STRONG final quarter showing from Na Piarsaigh saw them edge out Lannleire at Darver on Saturday night.

Only one point separated the sides after an entertaini­ng first half, with Eamonn McAuley’s goal ten minutes into the game helping Na Piarsaigh to lead 1-6 to 0-8 at the break.

The opening quarter of the second half was evenly contested with a Briain McGuinness point for Lannleire on 43 minutes leaving the scores level at 0-11 to 1-8 to make it two wins from two for the Rock Road men.

However, Na Piarsaigh kicked the last five scores of the game to win 1-13 to 0-11.
