LIP SYNC

St. Bride’s GFC, St. Bride’s Ladies GFC, Knockbridg­e Hurling Club and St Bride’s Camogie Club are holding a Lip Sync Battle in Ardee Community Hall on Saturday, April 21, as part of fundraisin­g for the developmen­t been undertaken. More details to follow shortly.

CHARITY TABLE QUIZ

Local girl Aimee McNally, is holding a Charity Quiz in aid of `The Hope Foundation`. Trainee teacher Aimee, will be volunteeri­ng in Kolkata, India, this summer, where she will work with street children. The quiz takes place in Kennedy’s Bar, Dundalk on Friday, March 23, at8.30pm. Tables 4 are €40. Refreshmen­ts served and raffle prizes so your support much appreciate­d.

PARISH NEWS

Confirmati­on takes place on April 27 at 11.00am. The best way to book Masses is to call to the sacristy before or after Mass any day (Monday evening; Wednesday and Friday mornings–except First Friday; Saturday evening, or Sunday morning), as the Mass book is usually kept there. Baptisms take place every fourth Sunday of the month at 11.30am mass and a baptism course will be held each month with course dates posted in the Church Porch. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on Mondays from 10am to 10pm in the Church followed by Benedictio­n at 10p.m. Confession­s are available on Mondays before 7.30 Mass and from 9.30pm-10pm, at the end of Eucharist Adoration, and at any time by request. Another initiative for World Meeting of Families is House Blessings, so if you would like your house blessed during Lent Gerry and Fr. Paddy are happy to oblige. A Missionary Group from Bethlehem will be in the Church for masses on weekend of March 24/25 and will have a range of religious articles on sale. Irish Language Collection. Parish Penance Service for Lent (A Healing Service) you are invited to receive the grace of the Sacrament of Penance on Thursday, March 22, at 7.30pm. During the service, children in second class will also celebrate their first Penance. Kilkerley Knockbridg­e Baptism Team meet this evening Tuesday, March 13, at 8.00p.m. in the parochial house, Knockbridg­e. The Pastoral Council of Kilkerley and Knockbridg­e meet this Thursday, March 15, at 8.00p.m. in the parochial house Knockbridg­e.
