Laptop stolen during house burglary

A number of items, including a laptop computer and a watch were reportedly stolen during a burglary at a house in Heynestown on Friday last.

Gardai report that entrance to the property was gained through the front door, and that bedrooms were searched.

A laptop, watch and some cash were reported missing from the property.

Gardai made a number of arrests for ‘simple possession’ of illegal drugs during searches over the last week.

In one incident on Bridge Street on Wednesday last, gardai uncovered 69 Xanax tablets along with 20 grams of cannabis herb. A 29 year old male was questioned in relation to the discovery.

Gardai are investigat­ing the report of an assault along Park Street in the early hours of yesterday (Monday) morning.

Two males were reported to have been involved in an altercatio­n. One of the men sustained cuts to the face and lip.

Gardai are investigat­ing reports of a burglary at Seatown Place on Thursday last. Two men were questioned about the incident.

Gardai have also renewed warnings about the potential risk of leaving valuable items in parked cars.

An Apple Mac computer was missing from a car parked outside the owner’s house in Blackrock overnight on 21st March.
