Training for the new season commences for the under-seven/under-eight girls on Friday, April 13.

Thanks to all who attended the talk on nutrition recently. We had a great turnout at the talk which was given by Michael Keane from the County Board. He said it was one of best attended talks in the county so well done to all and hopefully everyone will take something from tonight as the food we eat impacts our strength, training, performance and recovery.

Our under-11s recently enjoyed another invaluable coaching session under the guidance of one of the great coaches of the game, Jack O’Connor. Despite the persistent rain spirits were not dampened, the boys worked tirelessly and managed to sufficiently impress Jack with their level of skill and enthusiasm.

Great work boys. Well done. Congratulations to former player Robert Kearney on winning the RBS six Nations, The Triple Crown and the Grand Slam.

This is his second time to win the Grand Slam. Considering Ireland have only won it three times, this is a major achievement. He has won the six Nations four times 2009,2014,2015 and 2018. He also won ERC player of the year in 2012. He is truly one of the greats.

A great role model for our young players. Well done to our under-14 boys and girls’ teams who will be taking part in this year’s Féile competition from June 29 to July 1 They represented Cooley Juveniles in the first ever Cooley St Patrick’s Day parade which was a great success. Well done to all who organised it and congratulations to the Cooley teams on a great turnout.
