-

ON Friday night I headed for the clubrooms in Dowdallshill GFC where a special 50th birthday party was being held for Margaret McDonagh from College Heights and there to make sure she had a fantastic night was her family Martin, Timothy, James, Margaret and Kitty, parents Timothy and Kathleen Joyce from London sister Helen from Wales and Kizzy and Mary both from London and a huge collection of family and friends.

I wasn’t too long in the door when I caught up with Mary Reilly from Hillview, Brigid Gaffey from Cooley Park and Mary Quinn from College Heights who were sitting with Margaret and told me it was going to be a fantastic night for certain.

They were also joined by Kathleen and Laura Quinn from Rockfield Manor who wanted to wish their cousin all the best and assured me it was going to be a nice quiet celebration.

Heading for another table I then got talking to Catriona McDonagh from Rockfield Manor, Laura Quinn and Nathanya McDonagh both from Naughtons Close who were joined by sister Kizzy Joyce who was over form London and told me it was going to be a totally mad night for sure.

After this I got a quick word with Margaret’s other sister Mary who told me she is the prettiest sister and was going to make it a real night to remember.

Making my way over to another table I then got talking to Julie McDonagh and Margaret Joyce both from Naughtons Close who wanted to wish their cousin all the best and were there to party.

Not too far away I then caught up with Theresa and Winnie McDonagh both from College Heights, Mary Joyce from Naughtons Close and Margaret’s mum Kathleen Joyce who had come over form London specially and they wanted to wish her all the best on her 50th and assured me it was going to be a lovely night.

Heading for another table I met up with Mary-Kate Joyce from Muirhevnamor, Kathleen Joyce from Dublin and Catrina Joyce from Muirhevnamor who are all mates of the birthday girl and were having a great night.

Seated close by I then got taking to Rachel Lyons from Saltown and Cassie Joyce from Oxford who were there to party and were going to make a mad night of it no matter what.

Making my way though the crowds I then caught up with Chloe McDonagh from Dublin, Natasha McDonagh from Naughtons Close and Biddy Dunne from Dublin who all wanted to wish their aunty all the best on her big night.

I then headed over for a quick word with the lads who included James McDonagh, Mikey Joyce and Mikey McDonagh all from Rockfield Manor who told me the crack was good and getting better as the night went on.

Finally, before I departed I got talking to Sheila McDonald, Rebecca Dowd, Sandra and Margaret McDonagh all from Mullingar who were sitting at the same table as Nellmarie McDonagh from Navan, Margaret O’Leary and Shamini McDonnell both from Mullingar who all wanted to wish Margaret a very happy birthday.
