GRAVEYARD

Irish Graveyard Surveyors have been commissioned by the parish finance committee to survey Kilkerley Church Graveyard. The survey consists of mapping the graveyard giving each plot a number and indexing the names of all interred in the graveyard showing last name, first name, address, year of death, age of death and plot number. The details of each interment have been taken from the inscriptions on the headstones. The draft display is inside the church. Please take time to examine it and check the information for spelling mistakes. Alteration sheets are available beside the draft which will allow you to have any mistakes corrected. The sheets also allow you to enter details like townland, month and year of death that may not appear on the headstone. You can also include if you know of any people in unmarked graves that do not appear on the draft version of the survey. Any queries that you may have please contact Irish graveyards at 094 9365048 or 087 2076248 from 9am to 9pm Monday to Friday. Parishioners will have 3 weeks to make alterations after which the map of the graveyard will be displayed on entrance to the church grounds. You can also check details online www.irishgraveyards.ie
