- JAMES ROGERS

FOURTEEN was the lucky number for Dundalk on Friday night in their victory over Bray Wanderers. The 5-0 win was Dundalk’s 14th win of the season and also their 14th clean sheet of the campaign. A brace by Pat Hoban also brought to 14 the number of goals he has scored so far this season - equaling the number he managed in his first season at Oriel Park in 2013. The striker is now average a goal every 110 minutes played this season. DYLAN Connolly had a difficult start to the season but now that he’s a fixture in the Dundalk team the winger is determined to stay there.

The 23-year-old has started the last six matches for Stephen Kenny’s side in all competitions, scoring three goals and assisting two in the process. He will now be hoping to retain his place for the trip to Tallaght Stadium on Friday night to face Shamrock Rovers.

Connolly received a barrage of abuse from the Hoops supporters on his visits there last season but he told The Argus after Friday night’s 5-0 win over his former club Bray Wanderers that that only drove him on.

Asked did he recall a picture of him sitting in front of the home supporter getting shout- ed at, Connolly could only grin before saying: ‘I look forward to them games.

‘You don’t have to get yourself up for them ones. We’ll be raring to go against them. It’s live on the telly as well so we’ll be really buzzing for it.

‘They are a good team and they always seem to raise their game against us. We’ll be ready for a fight against them.

‘We’re on a good run now so we’ll just be taking each game

We’ll be raring to go against them. It’s live on the telly as well so we’ll be really buzzing for it.
