BOOKOF EVIDENCE REQUIRED

-

James Fisher (42) has been further remanded in custody to 25 July next for a book of evidence.

He is accused of sending threatening messages to the teenage daughter of a serving member of An Garda Síochána.

Fisher, of 234 Cedarwood Park, has pleaded guilty to sending by telephone, on 27 January last, ‘ an indecent, obscene and menacing message’ to the young lady.

The district court previously refused jurisdiction in the matter, meaning it has to go before the circuit court.

In a separate matter, Fisher is accused of assaulting two females, among them a solicitor at her office on 25 January, 2018; and causing criminal damage to the same premises on that date.

Last week, counsel for the defendant said he has been in custody since January and is pleading guilty on all charges.

Judge Coughlan acceded to a request by the prosecution for a further adjournment to prepare a book of evidence and put the case back to 25 July.
