Green Gates Society

-

Once again there was a near full turnout of members of the Green Gates golf society, doubtless helped by the continuing glorious sunshine, as they travelled to Greenore for their latest outing.

Their next is the biggest of the year, with the Captain’s prize to be played for on home territory on the Dundalk course at the end of the month on July 28.

Ciaran Traynor took the overall honours along the shores of Carlingford Lough.

The other prize-winners were: Category 1, Tom Lawlor; Christy Ward. Category 2, Barry O’Hanrahan; Eddie Maguire jnr. Category 3, Tommy Lennon; Paddy McKeown.

There was a nearest the hole contest on the difficult par 3 sixth hole and the winner of it was Donal Lynch.

Flanagan’s Mace, Dublin Road, sponsored the event.
