MITCHELS had a good win over Wolfe Tones in Drogheda on Thursday in the Division 3 League. Well done lads.

Well done to Mitchel’s player David Anderson who started in goals for the Louth U-20s last weekend, and also John Gallagher who came on during the game. It was good to see our clubmen wearing the county colours!

John Mitchel’s Couch to 5k will be starting shortly, with our annual Club 6K run and Family Day being held in August. Full details will be put out shortly.

We hosted a very successful Club Together Day recently where we welcomed nearly 140 children from Ardee Monastery Boys School to our pitch in Ballybaili­e. The chidren enjoyed a fun-filled day of Gaelic Football with our own club coaches and Louth GDA Karl O’Connor.

OUR onewall juvenile and adult handball training in St Marys Diocesan school is going very well and will continue every Tuesday night at 7pm until further notice. Club players and supporters wishing to purchase new handballs, gloves, eyeguards for their training can do so by contacting any committee member these items are also available for purchase at Coke hall reception. There will be a very important committee meeting at Coke hall next Friday night at 8pm all delegates, players, and supporters are requested to attend. The main item for discussion is to update everyone on our club fundraisin­g programme. Our ever popular juvenile Top Ace score competitio­n will take place directly after the meeting on Friday night players wishing to enter should give their names to Niall Farrelly. Our club fundraisin­g clothing appeal is going well if you have any unwanted coats, shoes, belts, handbags etc please bring them along to coke hall reception or you can contact Maria on 0879821594 to arrange for collection. The club are delighted to be chosen for the Tesco community fund on West street and we would ask everyone to please donate their blue token to us when doing your shopping as the club would hugely benefit from this funding thank you.
