Shields on target

CHRIS Shields marked his 200th start for Dundalk on Friday night with his second goal of the season. The last time the 27-year-old scored twice in a season was in his first year at Oriel Park back in 2012. Ironically, it was seven years at the weekend - July 8th 2011, since he had last scored an away goal. That came in a 2-1 victory for Bray away to UCD, a game his current midfield partner Robbie Benson scored in. His 58th minute striker was his ninth goal for Dundalk and 14th of his career.
