Glens trio master Lourdes event

ROSE Clifford, Kinga Byrne and Lloyd Byrne flew the Glenmore flag at the Athletics Louth Junior, Senior and Masters Track and Field championsh­ips at the Lourdes Stadium last Thursday.

Under glorious weather conditions they all succeeded in their age categories.

Lloyd won the 100m, 200m and 400m over-40 and was fourth in the 1500m.

Kinga won the over-35 100m with Rose Clifford in second.

On Sunday meanwhile, Rose White (2:18:37), Joan Farron (2:18:37) and Vicky Leahy (2:36:05) hit the Donegal hills running in the inaugural Magee 1866 Donegal Wild Atlantic half marathon.

This event was based in Killybegs and took place entirely along the stunning Wild Atlantic Way coastline.
