Ziggy chasing the Nose of Tralee title

-

ZIGGY, a gorgeous golden cocker spaniel, is hoping to follow the success of Lenny who won the Nose of Tralee 2017 for the Wee County.

Ziggy, who belongs to Dundalk teacher Nuala Mullen, is one of 32 pooches in the final of the the Nose of Tralee competition, organised by Pet Sitters Ireland.

Nuala says she always wanted a dog as a little girl but her pleas for a dog went unheeded.

It wasn’t until she had a home of her own that she was able to fulfil her wish and get a four legged companion.

All her dreams came true when she got Ziggy, named after Ziggy Stardust, last year.

‘Ziggy is all that I could have wished for. He is proud to have the title of the waggiest tail in Louth and when you meet him you can see why! He makes every day a happy day with his slobbery kisses and cuddles. Ziggy is very clever and loves learning new tricks.

Nuala adds: ‘Ziggy is the most loved member of the family, and people are disappointed when I call over to their houses without him. Ziggy is a funny character with a unique personality.’

He also has lots of fans at the school where she teaches.

Ziggy has his own Facebook page, ZiggyTheLouthNose and Nuala explains: ‘ We are dependent on public votes to win. You can vote once every 24hours until August 21st. Any dog food won will be donated to Dundalk Dog Rescue.’
