Crowd funding gets band back on the road again

-

A call out by local band TMP for some financial assistance after their Transit van broke down has resulted in them getting enough money to get back on the road as well as having some left over which they intend using to make a video for their new song ‘Bad Priest’.

The lads took to social media and called on their friends to contribute to their GoFundMe page when they found themselves stranded after the engine of their trusty van eventually gave up the ghost after transporting them to gigs around the country,

‘WE don’t just drive to gigs in our van, we sleep in it, eat in it and rehearse in it. Last month we only spent 2 nights in our actual house and the rest of the nights and days in our van,’ wrote Charles Hendry.

In exchange for donations, TMP offered a host of rewards from stickers to t-shirts, to playing at a house party. Soon, their legions of fans from around the country, were digging into their pockets to help out, and soon they surpassed their goal. ‘ THIS isn’t just about money, you have given us the motivation to keep going and to work harder. We love what we do and its hard to keep it up sometimes, after seeing the response you’ve given us we feel more motivated than ever to keep doing what we love and keep pushing ourselves harder. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, this is more than money to us.’ 2
