National Womenin Enterprise Day
The Local Enterprise Offices of Louth and Meath are celebrate National Women’s Enterprise Day next Thursday, October 18, with a special event taking place at the CityNorth Hotel & Conference Centre, Gormanston, Co. Meath.
The half-day session promises to provide lots of inspiration and insights for all women thinking of dipping their toes into the world of business and entrepreneurship, with lunch, guest speakers and more.
The speakers include Dr Colette Henry Head of Department of Business Studies at Dundalk IT, Ireland, Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at UiT-The Arctic University of
Norway. She was previously Norbrook Professor of Business & Enterprise at the Royal Veterinary College, London, and President of the Institute for Small Business & Entrepreneurship (ISBE). She is also editor of the International Journal of Gender & Entrepreneurship. In 2015 she received the Diana International Trailblazer Award for her work on women’s entrepreneurship research, and in 2017, she was honoured in Sweden with the Sten K Johnson European Entrepreneurship Education Award.
She will be joined at the top table by Louise Caulfield. The Co Meath woman is the co-owner of Caulfield Country Boards, a family run Irish Business. They create high quality, long lasting contemporary kitchenware & more.
The third speaker is Anne Reilly, founder and managing director of Paycheck Plus, a multi-award winning payroll resource company providing tailored payroll services to businesses in Ireland & the UK.
