The Lo­cal En­ter­prise Of­fices of Louth and Meath are cel­e­brate Na­tional Women’s En­ter­prise Day next Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 18, with a spe­cial event tak­ing place at the Ci­tyNorth Ho­tel & Con­fer­ence Cen­tre, Gor­manston, Co. Meath.

The half-day ses­sion prom­ises to pro­vide lots of in­spi­ra­tion and in­sights for all women think­ing of dip­ping their toes into the world of busi­ness and en­trepreneur­ship, with lunch, guest speak­ers and more.

The speak­ers in­clude Dr Co­lette Henry Head of De­part­ment of Busi­ness Stud­ies at Dun­dalk IT, Ire­land, Ad­junct Pro­fes­sor of En­trepreneur­ship at UiT-The Arc­tic Univer­sity of

Nor­way. She was pre­vi­ously Nor­brook Pro­fes­sor of Busi­ness & En­ter­prise at the Royal Ve­teri­nary Col­lege, Lon­don, and Pres­i­dent of the In­sti­tute for Small Busi­ness & En­trepreneur­ship (ISBE). She is also ed­i­tor of the In­ter­na­tional Jour­nal of Gen­der & En­trepreneur­ship. In 2015 she re­ceived the Diana In­ter­na­tional Trailblazer Award for her work on women’s en­trepreneur­ship re­search, and in 2017, she was hon­oured in Swe­den with the Sten K John­son Euro­pean En­trepreneur­ship Ed­u­ca­tion Award.

She will be joined at the top ta­ble by Louise Caulfield. The Co Meath woman is the co-owner of Caulfield Coun­try Boards, a fam­ily run Ir­ish Busi­ness. They cre­ate high qual­ity, long last­ing con­tem­po­rary kitchen­ware & more.

The third speaker is Anne Reilly, founder and manag­ing di­rec­tor of Pay­check Plus, a multi-award win­ning pay­roll re­source com­pany pro­vid­ing tai­lored pay­roll services to busi­nesses in Ire­land & the UK.
