National Womenin Enterprise Day

The Local Enterprise Offices of Louth and Meath are celebrate National Women’s Enterprise Day next Thursday, October 18, with a special event taking place at the CityNorth Hotel & Conference Centre, Gormanston, Co. Meath.

The half-day session promises to provide lots of inspiratio­n and insights for all women thinking of dipping their toes into the world of business and entreprene­urship, with lunch, guest speakers and more.

The speakers include Dr Colette Henry Head of Department of Business Studies at Dundalk IT, Ireland, Adjunct Professor of Entreprene­urship at UiT-The Arctic University of

Norway. She was previously Norbrook Professor of Business & Enterprise at the Royal Veterinary College, London, and President of the Institute for Small Business & Entreprene­urship (ISBE). She is also editor of the Internatio­nal Journal of Gender & Entreprene­urship. In 2015 she received the Diana Internatio­nal Trailblaze­r Award for her work on women’s entreprene­urship research, and in 2017, she was honoured in Sweden with the Sten K Johnson European Entreprene­urship Education Award.

She will be joined at the top table by Louise Caulfield. The Co Meath woman is the co-owner of Caulfield Country Boards, a family run Irish Business. They create high quality, long lasting contempora­ry kitchenwar­e & more.

The third speaker is Anne Reilly, founder and managing director of Paycheck Plus, a multi-award winning payroll resource company providing tailored payroll services to businesses in Ireland & the UK.
