Footpath
A welcome development is the construction of a new stretch of footpath on the corner of the Rock Road and Old Golf Links Road. Some will not be happy that a large stretch of one of the last pieces of green in the village was sacrificed for it.
But it will help improve safety, and surface on which to walk in all weathers.
There is no question what’s more that similar solid footpaths concrete or otherwise are needed on roads in the vicinity.
The big and continuing question though is when is the other end of the Old Golf Links Road going to be properly surfaced and put in a safe condition.
Why is the part of such a busy carriageway left the way it is for so long, and traffic increasing.
If there is a problem it is long past time the community was informed what it is and resolved before more serious questions have to be answered.
