AFTER DARK
Shannon O’Hare and Shane Taaffe at Shannon’s 21st birthday party in The Imperial Hotel. OUR last port of call on Saturday night was to Imperial Hotel where a special 21st birthday party was being held for Shannon O’Hare from Kilcurry and there to make sure she had an exceptional night were her parents Garrett and Sinead, brothers Garreth and Jack, grandparents Briege and Pat Fox from Ashling Park and boyfriend Shane Taaffe from O’Hanlon Park along with a big crowd of family and friends.
I was only in the door and had the pleasure of meeting up with Shannon who works in Penneys in the Marshes who was looking stunning and she wanted a big shout out for her grandfather Dessie O’Hare from Kilcurry who couldn’t make it on the night but to tell him she was thinking of him too.
I then decided to have a look round to see who was there and first caught up with Conall Shaw from Skerries, Niamh Clarke from Carrickmacross and aunty Valerie Shaw from Skerries who were down specially for the party and wanted to wish Shannon all the best on her big night.
Not too far away I got talking to boyfriend Shane Taaffe from O’Hanlon Park who was with his parents Maria and Harry who were in great form, although Harry did look a little subdued, could it have been a late Friday night celebration up the Carrick Road that caused this I wondered?
I then got a quick word with Shannon’s brother Garreth who told me it was going to be an insane night.
After this I headed over for a chat with Packie and Brenda O’Hanlon from Kilcurry who told me they are the neighbours and were up for making the best of Shannon’s 21st celebrations.
Not too long later I got a word with uncle Eoin Whearty from Dromiskin who was with his wife Siobhan who assured me this was going to be a major night of fun.
I then got a word with granny Briege Fox from Ashling Park who wanted to wish Shannon a happy 21st and went on to tell me she’ll be celebrating her 70th on Friday so let’s hope that Pat has something major planned to mark this special occasion!
Making my way through the crowds I then had the pleasure of meeting up with Leah Moran from Greenacres and aunty Siobhan Whearty who were there to make sure that Shannon had the very best night ever.
Just arrived in was aunty Elaine Cassidy from Cedarwood Park with husband Ken and she said it was going to be a fab night.
Not too far away I caught up with Lauren Morgan from Greenacres and Michael McKenna from Saltown who were in great form and assured me it was going to be a mad night for sure.
Next I met Sinead’s cousin Kathleen McMahon from St. Nicholas Avenue, also celebrating her birthday and she was with Stephen, Andrew and Conall Shaw and Niamh Clarke. Shannon O’Hare and Leah Moran, Greenacres
Dylan and assured me it was going to be an epic night.
Finally, before I departed I got talking to aunty Sandra Dolan from Blackrock who
was up for a big night and wanted a special shout out for husband Trevor who was at home babysitting Harry and was missing a fantastic night.
