North Louth Art hosting a pop-up exhibition

THE North Louth Artists are hosting a pop-up exhibition in the Basement Gallery as part of their 50th anniversar­y celebratio­ns.

Entitled ‘Editions’ the exhibition will be officially opened on Wednesday at 7pm by Sarah Daly, Creative Spark and will run until Saturday.

The exhibition features works on paper, print and sculpture by the members of this dynamic group.

There will be work on show Gerry Clarke, Rosemary Warren, Sandra Bell, Paula Eigenheer,Derek Bell, Siobhan Conyngham, Ciara Agnew, Patrick Conyngham,Irene Woods, Alva Gallagher, John O’Connor, Omin and the late Patricia Murphy.

All the artists have had a busy year preparing for exhibition­s and completing commission­s.

Patrick Conyngham’s solo exhibition ‘ The First Spark, The Last Spark’ runs at ArtisAnn Gallery, Belfast for the month of November, Siobhan Conyngham is preparing for a solo exhibition in Framework, Belfast in 2019. Omin is included in Grey Area Exhibition 11 to support ICHH homeless crisis. Sandra Bell and Alva Gallagher are exhibiting in the Open18 Sculpture Exhibition at the F E McWilliams Gallery in Banbridge, which runs until the end of November, while Irene Woods has a permanent exhibition in Castlewood House, Dingle. 2

There’s Halloween fun for all the family at the Blackrock Pumpkin Festival this evening from 6.30pm starting with a display of pumpkins on the promenade, followed by a fancy dress parade.
