DULEEK GLENMUIR 6 0

DULEEK are fighting to preserve their place in the premier division, but they still proved far too strong on Saturday for Glenmuir who are enduring an undistinguished season as they battle to stay in the third division.

Winners not so many seasons back, the hosts underlined the gap in standard at which the teams are competing to earn another home tie in the quarter-finals of the Tully bookmakers cup against recent winners Trim Celtic.

They made a dream start scoring after a minute, and doubled their advantage with only ten gone.

They effectively secured their ticket in the last eight with a third goal over the hour mark, and then added a fourth under ten minutes later.

They finished with a flourish with two more goals in the final 15 minutes.

Glenmuir now are left to concentrate on the battle to stay in the third division.

GLENMUIR: David McKenny, Liam McKenny (Mark Agnew), Rory Phelan, Niall Hand, Colm Matthews (Eddie Maguire), Danny Mullen, Conall McArdle, Conor Kirk, Liam Cunningham, John Byrne, Sean Bailey. Other sub Willie Kelly.
