FANTASTIC FROSTIVAL NIGHT AT FESTIVAL OF LIGHT

-

The Frostival ‘Carnival of Light’ parade on Friday evening was a breathtaking display which enchanted viewers of all ages.

Gasps of amazement could be heard as the street performers and their spectacular floats made their way through the town’s street, turning the town centre into a magical world.

Scenes from the Nutcracker were brought to life with the young dancers from Funky Feet as dancing Christmas stars while there was even a Santa on a flying bicycle.

The parade was without doubt one of the most impressive starts to the festive season which Dundalk has seen and afterwards people took to Facebook to say how much they had enjoyed it.

‘Excellent festival, well done to all involved, great family event,’ commented one poster while another said; ‘It was fabulous! Well done to all involved.’

‘Amazing parade, the Town came back to life, mighty stuff & well done all espe- cially Bids brilliantly done, kids is what’s it’s all about Christmas 2018 in Dundalk.’

The town’s Christmas lights were also turned on, with beautiful choral singing to get everyone in the festive spirit.

The Christmas market organised by The Crafty Rock gave shoppers the chance to support local craft and food producers with a wide range of offerings on display.

The Frostival Market will return to the Market Square on Friday and Saturday December 14 and 15.
