The Irish Blood Transfusio­n mobile unit is in Clan na Gael Centre today Tuesday, November, 27, from 4.30pm to 8.00pm, the Crowne Plaza Hotel this Wednesday, November 28, and this Thursday, November 29, from 4.30pm to 8.00pm.

Welcome into the Christan community Catherine Anne Murphy, Loughantar­ve, who was baptised in St. Mary’s Church, Knockbridg­e recently.

SACRISTAN

As Ann Manning retires from her sacristan role at year end applicatio­n forms and Job Descriptio­n for the vacancy are available from the church. It’s a 20 hours a week role, which includes the smooth running of St Mary’s Church activity at all times including liturgical events and cleaning.

VINTAGE CLUB

Knockbridg­e Vintage Club are hosting their Annual Senior Citizens Christmas Party and Presentati­on Night on Saturday, December 8, in the Parish Centre at 8.30pm.This is guaranteed to be a great night with a hot dinner and excellent entertainm­ent! PARISH NEWS

Please pray for Paddy Myers, Dunbin, Annie Dunne, Rathroal, Brigid Farrell, Fairhill, Ardee Road, Dundalk, Maura Byrne, Ballybarra­ck, Jim Farrell, Marian Park, Dundalk, Ciaran Reid, Tallanstow­n who died recently. Baptisms take place every fourth Sunday of the month at 11.30am mass and a baptism course will be held each month with course dates posted in the Church Porch. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on Mondays from 10.00am to 10.00pm in the Church followed by Benedictio­n at 10.00p.m. Confession­s are available on Mondays before 7.30 Mass and from 9.30pm10.00pm, at the end of Eucharist Adoration, and at any time by request.

If you wish to have your home blessed please contact Fr Gerry or Fr Paddy. The Church Choir is looking for new members so if you are interested please contact Grainne or the priests. From December a new organist is needed so contact Grainne McGeeney or Fr Gerry.

SET DANCING

Set Dancing Classes continue each Monday at 8.30pm in the Centre. New Members urgently needed and no experience required. Contact Ann on 042 9338089. Admission €6 and everyone welcome.

CEMETERY

Many thanks to Fr Paddy and the volunteers who tidied up the graveyard in recent months. You are encouraged to volunteer a few hours towards this cause so contact Peggy McCreesh on 086 3817585.

It would help if old flowers and wreaths were taken home for disposal. Out of respect for adjoining property owners please do not throw anything over the cemetery wall.

IRISH DANCING

FLOWER ARRANGING CLASSES

Parish Bingo this Thursday and each Thursday, at 8.30pm in the Parish Centre all welcome. €550 in Prizes each week. Raffle plus Jackpot of €1,000. The committee wish to thank the Parents and Friends of the school for the lovely sandwiches and pastries last Thursday night.
