Eamon McConville, Market Street, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 16 December, 2018. Eamon, much loved husband of the late Gertrude (Gerry), née Smyth, and loving father of John, Dominica, and Pauline and granda of Philomena, Noel, Hanna and Niamh and great-granda of Éilis, Róise, Eoin and Phoebe. Deeply regretted by his son, daughters, grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, daughter-in-law Máire, Pauline’s partner Thomas, brother Paddy (Drogheda) and Ursula Morris (Swords), nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. No funeral arrangemen­ts at time of going to press.

Joan Coogan (née Stevens), formerly of Blackbush Avenue, Drogheda, Dundalk and Wicklow Town, whose death occurred on 15 December, 2018, peacefully in the most loving care of the staff of Moorehall Lodge, Drogheda. Predecease­d by her husband Thomas (late of Timber Street, Dundalk). Joan will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons David and Kevin, daughter Deirdre, son-in-law Colin, daughters-in-law Emma and Mary, grandchild­ren Kelly, Sammy, Stuart, Joanna, Ben, Annie and Sophie, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives and friends. No funeral arrangemen­ts at time of going to press.

Brigid O’Neill, formerly McKenna, (née McKenna), The Cottage, Ballymakel­lett, Ravensdale, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully, on 14 December, 2018, in the dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late John McKenna and the late Jackie O’Neill and dear mother of Paddy, Helena, Mary, Dympna, Josephine, Anthony and the late Seán and the late Séamus. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing sons, daughters, Jackie’s children Brian, Jacqueline, Geraldine and Maria, brother John, grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at Quinn’s Funeral Home, Bridge Street from 4p.m.-9p.m. on Saturday and 2pm-9pm on Sunday. Removal on Monday at 10.30am, to St. Mary’s Church, Ravensdale, via Ballymakel­lett, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Calvary Cemetery.

Maggie Reid, 20 Langfield, Dublin Road and late of Ashling Park, Dundalk, whose death occurred suddenly at home on 11 December, 2018. Predecease­d by her father John, brothers John and Gerard, sister Irene, grandson Luke. Loving partner of Barry and cherished mother of Ursula, Jade, Daniel, Hannah, Cameron and Brandon. Maggie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her partner, children, grandchild­ren Layla, Kayleigh and Kyren, mother

Removal on Saturday morning at 10.30 (driving) to the Church Of The Holy Redeemer arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock. Thereafter (driving) to St. Patrick’s Cemetery for burial.

James (Jim) Wynne, Jocelyn Place, Dundalk, whose death occurred in the Louth County Hospital on 12 December, 2018. James, beloved husband of Siobhán (Dr. Siobhán Aiken) and dearly loved father of Bairbre, Catherine, Jimmy, Síle, Anne and Paul. Deeply regretted by his wife, sons, daughters, sons-in-law Paul, David and Gordon, grandsons David, James, Patrick, Eoin and Robert, sisters-in-law Maura, Kitty, Madeline and Phyll, extended family and friends. Requiem Mass on Saturday afternoon (15 December) at 1.30pm in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dundalk. Burial afterwards in Church Hill Cemetery, Jonesboro.

Tom Clarke (Publican), Quay Street, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 12 December, 2018, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Predecease­d by his daughter Mary. Tom, beloved husband of Alice (née Coyle) and loving dad of Thomas, Liam, Michael, Robert, James, Alice O’Reilly and Isabel Hoey. He will be sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, extended family relatives, neighbours and the wonderful staff and friends in Saint Oliver Plunkett Hospital. Reposing at the residence of his son Michael, Waterview, Lower Point Road, from Wednesday evening 7pm to 9pm and Thursday morning 11am to 9pm. Removal on Friday morning at 10.30am driving to Tom Clarke’s Bar for 10.40am then proceeding on foot to Saint Joseph’s Redemptori­st Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Dundalk.

Bríd McBride (née KELLY), Lurgankeel, Kilcurry, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 10 December, 2018, peacefully in the kind and gentle care of the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Beloved wife of Peader and loving mother of Ruaidhrí, Brianán and her late son Cormac. Bríd will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband, children, daughter-in-law Liza, son-in-law Sean (Callan), grandchild­ren Ciara and Aran, the Kelly Clan, extended Mc Bride Family, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at her home in Lurgankeel, Kilcurry on Wednesday between 12 o’clock and 9 o’clock. Removal on Thursday morning at 10.30am to St Brigid’s Church, Kilcurry arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock. Followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Joe (Joseph Noel) Quinn, Ballagan, Greenore, whose death occurred peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, on 11 December, 2018. Joe, eldest son of the late James and Irene Quinn, beloved husband of Therese (née Rowan), wonderful father to Jimmy, Jackie, Michele, Bernard and Irene (USA), much loved by his daughters-in-law Clare and Wendy, son-in-law Rick Damico, his grandchild­ren Rowan, Ellen, Joseph, Molly, Richard, Louis and Leah Molly. Deeply regretted by his sister Miriam Stanley, brothers Brian, Oliver and Peter, sisters- and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, his wonderful supportive carers, HSE staff, neighbours, the farming community and wide circle of friends. Reposing at his home from 4pm on Wednesday. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of Our Lady, Star of the Sea, Boher, arriving for Mass at 11.0’Clock. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Margaret Garvey, 85 St. Nicholas Avenue, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 9 December, 2018, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the kind and gentle care of the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predecease­d by her parents Mary Margaret and Eugene, sister Bridget, brothers Larry and Owen, her dear friend John Keelan. Maragaret will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her children Victoria, Sinead and Eugene, daughter-in-law Claire, sonin-law Jase, Sinead’s partner Darren, grandchild­ren Ben, Dan, Demi, Jay, Riley, Saóirse, Miceál, great-grandchild Skyla, sisters Marian, Teresa, Cecili, cousin Loretta, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at her home on Monday between 7pm and 9pm and Tuesday between 12 noon and 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30am walking to St. Nicholas’ Church, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, thereafter to St. Patrick’s Cemetery for burial.
