PARISH NEWS

Please pray for Michael Brennan, Ballybarra­ck, Bernadette Barrett, Tipperary, John Murnaghan, Latton, Paddy Myers, Dunbin, Annie Dunne, Rathroal, Michael McCabe, Dundalk, who died recently. Baptisms take place every fourth Sunday of the month at 11.30am mass and a baptism course will be held each month with course dates posted in the Church Porch. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on Mondays from 10.00am to 10.00pm in the Church followed by Benedictio­n at 10.00p.m. Confession­s are available on Mondays before 7.30 Mass and from 9.30pm-10.00pm, at the end of Eucharist Adoration, and at any time by request. If you wish to have your home blessed please contact Fr Gerry or Fr Paddy. The Church Choir is looking for new members so if you are interested please contact Grainne or the priests.

IRISH DANCING

Classes continue in the Parish Centre on Thursdays at 4.00pm. Details from Dearbhla Roddy 086 8242670.

YOGA

SET DANCING

Knockbridg­e Set Dancers had their Christmas Party on Monday of last week so many thanks to everyone for the cakes etc. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Judy Kelly.

Sincere sympathy to Jean Myers on the sad death of her husband Paddy and to Sheila McArdle on the sad death of her brother Vincent. We wish all our Members and their families a very Happy Christmas. Classes will resume on January 7, 2019.

5 K RUN

The Annual Killanny CPR fundraiser Run/Walk takes place on New Years Day at 11.00am. Registrati­on from 9:30am in Killanny Hall. €10 entry for adults with U 16’s free.

BINGO

Parish Bingo this Thursday and each Thursday, at 8.30pm in the Parish Centre all welcome. €550 in prizes each week. Raffle plus Jackpot of €1,000. Don’t forget Monster Bingo on Thursday night December 20. Donations of prizes for the raffle would be much appreciate­d.

CANCER SOCIETY

The Irish Cancer Society is looking for volunteers in the Louth, Cavan, Monaghan and Meath areas to drive patients to and from their treatments in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda and the Dublin hospitals. Volunteer drivers will pick a patient up at the door of their home, drive them to the door of the hospital and then when finished treatment, pick them up and drop them home again.
