An Tain Arts Centre reveal Spring 2019 programme

THERE is plenty to look forward to in An Tain Arts Centre’s programme for next four months, with music, movie screenings, art exhibition­s and drama.

The season gets underway with Dundalk Musical Society’s sold out panto ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’.

There’s a very strong theatre offering to look forward, including Warrior of the Tain, a new production of the great Irish saga, by Quintessen­ce Theatre which tells the story through the eyes of Queen Maeve.

Dundalk Theatre Workshop present ‘Duet for One’, based on the moving story of the acclaimed cellist Jacqueline de Pru who was struck down with MS at the height of her career.

Big Telly theatre company bring their new production ‘Freak Show’ inspired by the true story of the 17th century giantess Mary Murphy.

The local Aisteoir Theatre Group present the premier of ‘Man or Mouse’, a new play by Dundalk writer Kieran Rogers.

There’s plenty too for music lovers, including Christy Dignam with his popular ‘Some Songs and Stories’, an Adele tribute. A Vienese Strauss Gala, and S.O.N.G with the musical ‘Annie’, ‘Seven Drunken Nights: Story of The Dubliners’, and ‘Beyond the Horizon: The Pink Floyd Show, as well as concerts by local musicians Conal McIntyre and Marc Corcoran and Sophie Lennon. 2
