JIM McShane, Meadow Grove and formerly of Castletown Road, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 25 January, 2019, suddenly at his residence. Beloved husband of Ronnie (née Boyle) and dear dad of Mark, James, Carolyn and Aoife. Predecease­d by his parents Hugh and Rosie, Jim will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, sister Margaret Cotter, brothers Bernard and Hugh, son in-law Paddy, daughters-in-law Rosie and Anne-Marie, Aoife’s partner Gerard, grandchild­ren Abbie, Ethan and Clíodhna, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family relatives, wonderful neighbours and friends. No funeral arrangemen­ts at time of going to press.

JOHN (Johnny) Boyle, 8 The Laurels, Dundalk, late of McCann’s Bakery and lifetime president of Rangers F.C. Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, on 23 January, 2019. Predecease­d by his parents Peter and Helena (Nelly). Beloved husband of Nuala (née Dowdall) and loving father to Peter and Paul, Johnny will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, sons, grandchild­ren Caoimhe, Seán, Rory, Órla and Liam, daughter-in-law Ciara, Peter’s partner Josephine, extended family, close neighbours and friends. Reposing at his home from 7 o’clock on Wednesday. Removal on Friday morning at 10.40 am (walking) to St. Nicholas Church, Dundalk arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock. Followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

DESIE Greene (Snr), Greenacres, Dundalk, and formerly of The Liberties, Dublin (ex-Irish Army), whose death occurred peacefully, on 21 January, 2019, surrounded by his family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary (née Shearman) and dear dad of Desmond, Georgina, Gemma, Yvonne and Justine. Predecease­d by his parents Billy and Kate, sisters Angela and Kathleen, brother Billy, mother and father in-law Lizzie and Tom Shearman. Desie will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, brother Martin, sisters Sheila, Mary, Margaret, sons-in-law Ciarán and Conor, daughter-in-law Charlene, grandchild­ren Molly, Harry, Ellie-Mae, Billy and Annie, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at his residence Greenacres from Wednesday morning 11am to 8pm. Removal on Thursday afternoon at 12.30pm proceeding on foot to St. Joseph’s Redemptori­st Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 1pm followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Dundalk.

Priscilla Davidson (née Hughes), St Nicholas Avenue, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on 27 January, 2019. Priscilla, beloved wife of the late Patrick and dear mother of Anne, Patsy, Trevor and Barry and nanny of Alan, Padraig, Sabraina, Orlena, Shannon, Danielle, Sarah, Calvin, Amy and Nathan and sister of Una Gray. Deeply regretted by her sons, daughter, daughters-in-law, grandchild­ren, great grandchild­ren, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at her residence from 4pm on Monday. Removal on Wednesday afternoon at 12.40 walking to St. Nicholas’ Church arriving for Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Family Flowers only. Donations to the North Louth Hospice.
