GATHERING OF OLD FRIENDS

This event takes place tomorrow Wednesday, January 30, at Stephensto­wn Pond from 11.00am to 12.30pm, with everybody welcome to come along and enjoy a tea/coffee and chat with friends.

SCHOOL REUNION

To mark the 50th Anniversar­y of its closure in June 1969, it is envisaged to hold a reunion of pupils who completed their primary school education at Knockbridg­e Old School and did not attend the New School at any rime. PARISH NEWS

Please pray for Larry King, Clontigora, Newry, Philo Byrne, McDermott’s Tce, who died recently. Baptisms take place every fourth Sunday of the month at 11.30am mass and a baptism course will be held each month with course dates posted in the Church Porch. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on Mondays from 10.00am to 10.00pm in the Church followed by Benedictio­n at 10.00p.m. Confession­s are available on Mondays before 7.30 Mass and from 9.30pm-10.00pm, at the end of Eucharist Adoration, and at any time by request. If you wish to have your home blessed please contact Fr Gerry or Fr Paddy. The Church Choir is looking for new members so if you are interested please contact Grainne or the priests. Confirmati­on takes place on Friday, April 5, at 11.00am. The Pastoral Area Resource Team meet in Louth Church meeting room this evening, Tuesday, January 29, at 8.00pm. Mass this Friday, St Brigid’s Day is at 9.30am with crosses blessed during mass. Candlemas Day is this Saturday and the feast of St Blaise is this Sunday so candles will be blessed at mass on Saturday evening and throats blessed after mass on Saturday and Sunday. The sick and housebound will be visited as usual this Thursday and Friday. The Finance Committee meet on Wednesday of next week February 6, at 8.00pm.

IRISH DANCING
