-

Dundalk’s MAD Youth Theatre are heading off to visit Prague tomorrow ( Wednesday). This will be their third visit to the Class in Action International Youth Theatre Festival. They will be competing against top quality groups both English speaking and English as a second language youth drama groups from Russia, France, Poland, and the UK to name a few.

The twelve young actors attending the festival devised a new piece called ‘ Twenty One Nineteen’, a post-apocalyptic Dystopian play that explores power, migration and climate change with a dash of unrest, set on Mars!

They are grateful to everyone who supported their fundraising for the trip, which included a mini drama festival in their Earl Street venue, a day of collecting and doing a freeze mob in Marshes Shopping Centre and a day of bag packing at Tesco Extra, as well as donations from local businesses/

The group are very excited to be travelling to take part in this festival in Prague where they are looking forward to meeting up with old friends and making new ones.
