Fyffes fit squad returning with five school visits

On foot of a number of successful visits to Dundalk schools in 2018, Fyffes ‘Fit Squad’ initiative is returning to the town and surroundin­g area with an ambitious five events planned throughout the month of February.

In total, over 600 pupils will participat­e in the hour-long, interactiv­e session aimed at promoting healthy eating and an active lifestyle, especially amongst young people.

Local schools participat­ing are St. Mochta’s National School Louth Village; St. Malachy’s Girls School, Anne Street; Dun Dealgan National School, Jocelyn Street; Rampark National School and Kilsaran National School, Castlebell­ingham.

Delivered by Irish health and fitness expert, Tom Dalton, topics covered will include an active workout plus talks and tips on healthy eating, all designed to improve children’s general fitness through engaging and fun-filled activities.
