Mark Sands, Seafield Road, Blackrock, whose death occurred on 3 February, 2019. Mark left this world gently and peacefully surrounded by his loving and heartbroke­n parents, Paddy and Ruth and sisters Laura and Aoife. Mark died prematurel­y following a road accident in Austin, Texas, where he was studying. Mark’s short life was a celebratio­n of love, kindness, intelligen­ce, humour and high spirits. His laughter and love were cherished, and will be tragically missed, by his parents, sisters, grandparen­ts Richard and Joan Martin, aunts Mary, Annemarie, Elaine, and Lisa, uncle Richard, uncles-in-law Carl and Paul, aunt-inlaw Catherine, cousins, and Laura’s partner, Andy. Mark will be missed and treasured also by his many friends in Iron Spikes, UCD and Blackrock. No funeral arrangemen­ts at time of going to press.

Ebbie Conlon (née Burke), Artoney, Louth Village, whose death occurred on 2 February, 2019, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Ebbie beloved wife of the late Kevin and much loved mother of the late Kevin. Ebbie will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Ann, son Michael, grandson Padhraic, granddaugh­ter Caoimhe her husband Conor, great-grandson Michael, son-in-law Pat (McArdle), sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Ebbie will repose at her daughter Ann’s (McArdle) residence, Mullavalle­y, Louth Village on Sunday from 3pm to 7pm. House Private at all other times please. Removal on Monday morning (4 Feb.) driving to the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, Louth arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Teresa Durnin (née Hearty), 199 Ard Easmuinn, Dundalk, whose death occurred peacefully at home (in nanny’s house) on 2 February, 2019, surrounded by her loving family and her wonderful carer Siobhán. Deeply missed by her loving husband Syl, daughter Mary, son Ken, grandchild­ren Mark, Jenny, Orla and Seán, great grand-daughter Méabh, sisters Eileen and Mary, brother Robert, daughter-in-law Elaine, son-in law Fra, Mark’s wife Grace, together with Rory and Matt, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Reposing at her home on Sunday between 4 o’clock and 8 o’clock. Removal on Monday afternoon at 12.30 (driving) to St. Nicholas Church, Dundalk arriving for Funeral Mass at 1 o’clock. Thereafter driving to Haggardsto­wn Cemetery for burial.

Marie Woods (née Kieran), Christians­town, Readypenny, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 1 February, 2019, peacefully after a short illness in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predecease­d by her husband Johnny, daughter Olivia, sisters Kathleen, Rose, Baby and brother Frank. Deeply regretted by her sons Brendan, Thomas and Seán, daughters Patricia, Anne, Josie, Sinèad and Edel, brother Peadar, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, partners, sister-in-law, grandchild­ren, nephews, nieces, grandnephe­ws, grandniece­s, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at her on Saturday, from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm and tomorrow, Sunday, from 11.00 am to 9.00 pm. Removal on Monday at 1.00 pm to St. Michael’s Church, Darver, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1.30 pm. Burial afterwards in Darver Cemetery.

Jimmy Corr, Lurgangree­n, Dublin Road, Dromiskin, and formerly of Boughkeel, Scotstown, Co. Monaghan, whose death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of Castleross Nursing Home on 1 February, 2019. Jimmy, beloved husband of the late Teresa (nee Hoey) and dear brother of Vera Doyle, Nora McArdle, Kathleen Lytham. Deeply regretted by his sisters, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing in Castleross Nursing Home from 2pm to 8pm on Sunday. Removal on Monday morning to St. Peter’s Church, Dromiskin, arriving for Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Dromiskin Cemetery.

Rodney McDowell, Greenore, and formerly of Portnoo, Co. Donegal, Sutton, Co. Dublin and Belfast) whose death occurred on 31 January, 2019, peacefully at Carlingfor­d Nursing Home. Beloved husband of the late Gillian, dearly loved father of Andrew and Sophie and stepfather of Nigel, Malcolm and Madeline. He will be sadly missed by his daughters-inlaw Victoria Sharon, Yoko, and his son-in-law Mike, grandchild­ren Calum, Aaron, Robert, Archie, Ian, Caroline, Medbh and Aislinn and all his family, relatives and friends. Gerard- Gerry Louth, Fatima Court, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 30 January, 2019, suddenly at his home. Predecease­d by his parents, Frank and Margaret. Beloved husband of Josephine and dear father of Gerard, Joe, David and Padraig. Briege Waller (née Dwyer), late of Castletown Road, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 31 January, 2019, peacefully, in her 92nd year, in the care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Beloved wife of the late Larry and dear mother of Annette, Larry, Joe, Briege and Collette. Vincent ( Vincie) Duffy, Árd Easmuinn, Dundalk, formerly of Colliers F.C, Quay Celtic F.C. and Jimmy’s Bar, Park Street, whose death occurred peacefully, on 28 January, 2019, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by his family. Loving husband of Áine, cherished father of Andrew and beloved son of Vincent and Elizabeth. Michael Duignan, Lis Na Dara, Carrick Road, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 28 January, 2019, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Predecease­d by his parents Michael and Annie. Late of Loughglynn, Co. Roscommon, Michael will be sadly missed by his friends, the management and staff of Blackrock Abbey Nursing Home and his former neighbours. Robert Menary, 43 An Chearnog, Toberona, Dundalk, whose death occurred on 27 January, 2019. Maura O’Callaghan (nee Murphy), 9 Fruithill Park, Belfast, whose death occurred on 15 January, 2019. Maura was predecease­d by her parents, John and Rose Murphy, and her only brother, Séamus, late of Bush, Riverstown, Dundalk. Beloved wife of the late Jim O’Callaghan; dearly loved mother of Eimear, John, Aidan, Jim and Paul; sister of the late Séamus Murphy; Kathleen Lyons, Sligo; Margaret Lundy, Dublin, Jo Roe, Dublin and Sr. Briege, ‘Bethany’, Dundalk. Maura is very deeply regretted by all her loving family, her son-inlaw, daughters-in-law, grandchild­ren, nieces, nephews, entire family and wide circle of loving neighbours and friends.
