Sophie’s artwork on display in The 3rd Place

THIS month The 3rd Place Cafe at the Market Square hosts the work of local illustrator Sophie Coyle. Sophie is selling limited edition prints of her colourful and quirky pen and watercolour illustrations and has taken a selection of eleven images spanning ten years of her work. These works reflect her interests as an artist and musician featuring scenes of musical gatherings, Irish landscapes and illustrations from fairy tales.

A native of Galway, Sophie studied illustration at the Academia d’Illustrazione di Roma and the Dublin Independent College. A mother of two young children, she chronicles their humorous sayings on Instagram as sophiecoylefolk.

The prints are on sale through the cafe which is a regular supporter of local artists and cultural groups.
