Jane hits jackpot on ladies day
GLOOMY clouds hung over Dundalk Stadium, but it did nothing to dampen the spirits of racegoers at last Sunday’s Marshes Shopping Centre Ladies Day.
With a €3,000 prize up for grabs, the fashionistas made sure to dress to impress as they arrived on Sunday afternoon.
Jane Mulholland from Castleblayney scooped the prestigious title this year with a Forever Unique dress from Meme Boutique, Castleblayney, hat by Millinery by Mairead a touch of designer with Chanel bag and earrings and a touch of high street with River Island gloves.
The judges for the day were Paul and Mike from Funky Fashion Frolics and Rosie Kirk Make-Up. Their eyes were caught by the great combination and crowned her overall winner after whittling down to their top 5.
There was also the addition this year of Best Dressed Gentleman this year, won by Michael Peters from Tipperary whose suit was from 6th Sense and a touch of high street here too with shoes from Penny’s.
Lisa O’Connor, Sales & Marketing Manager at Dundalk Stadium said: ‘We are delighted to have Marshes Shopping Centre sponsor our annual ladies day for the past 10 years. This year we saw the introduction of a Best Dressed Gent category.
‘Our fabulous Judges had a tough job in selecting the overall winners for both categories however they done a fantastic job in selecting the two very deserving winners. It was a fantastic culmination to a great day of racing and style.’
